Professor Adesegun Fatusi is the Founder and President of the Academy for Health Development (AHEAD). He is a renowned professor of community medicine and public health and has actively contributed to the discipline, leading the development of national policy documents on various critical health issues in Nigeria, including adolescent health and youth development, HIV and AIDs, and sexual and reproductive health. He has been involved in numerous research, policy and program initiatives in the country. He is actively engaged in several organisations and chairs the Nigeria’s National Technical Working Group on Adolescent Health and Development. He is a member of the Lancet Commission on Adolescent Health and wellbeing as well as the Vice President (sub-Saharan Africa) for the International Association for Adolescent Health. He is a seasoned researcher and has worked as a lead research consultant for national and international organisations. He has also served as the Director of International Research for the Guttmacher Institute. His expertise has earned him numerous awards and recognitions.

Prof. Olawunmi Fatusi is currently the Ag. CEO of the Academy for Health Development (AHEAD). She is a foremost professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery and past Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife

Ayoola Ojewusi, equipped with a bachelors degree in economics and a masters degree in public health, stands as a seasoned public health specialist and accomplished researcher with over seven years of dedicated service in the field of child and adolescent health. Throughout his career, Ayoola has enhanced his core competencies in research, data management and analysis, program evaluation, grant proposal development, community engagement, budgeting, literature search, and both quantitative and qualitative research methods. Ayoola professional portfolio also boasts his significant involvement as an assistant Project Coordinator in a national survey focusing on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV). Presently serving as Associate Director, Program and Strategic Management at the Academy for Health Development in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Ayoola leverages his wealth of experience and expertise to champion impactful initiatives, drive community advocacy efforts, and spearhead public health agendas. His participation in the SGBV national survey highlights his commitment to addressing pressing health challenges and advancing the welfare of vulnerable populations. He remains a pivotal figure in public health, dedicated to fostering meaningful change and improving health outcomes for all.

Osaze Emokpae joined the Academy for Health Development in 2021 as the Programs Officer. He has broad quantitative research, statistical analyses and data visualization skills. His role at AHEAD provides administrative and logistic support for program units, reports review, and processing. Osaze also designs and develops promotional materials and publication events and campaigns. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees in Demography and Social Statistics from the Obafemi Awolowo University. He has been involved and coordinated several research processes.

Adeniyi Blessing Agnes is a finance associate at the Academy for Health Development (AHEAD). She is a graduate of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho where she obtained her B.Tech degree in Accounting. She has gained valuable experience through her roles at the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED, Ondo), where she had previously worked and at Eagles Tech College, where she spent a year in the Accounts Department
